Police killed four terrorists in encounter while three others escaped from the scene, the law enforcement sources said.
According to reports, a police party on an intelligence report conducted raid in an area in the vicinity of Muzaffargarh. The terrorists hiding in a house hurled grenade at policemen. In a subsequent shootout four suspected terrorists were killed and their three accomplices fled from the scene, police said.
Three policemen were also injured in the incident and admitted at a hospital for medical treatment.
Twelve rocket launchers, 40 grenades, 328 kilograms of chemicals, four suicide jackets, a pistol and a rifle and other munitions were captured in the raid.
District Police Officer (DPO) Muzaffargarh has said that the terrorists were affiliated with Abu Abdullah Group of Punjabi Taliban.
