KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau on Saturday a former additional district accounts officer on charges of corruption, embezzlement and assets beyond his means of income.
Mushtaq Ahmed Shaikh was arrested by NAB during investigation in the case of former police constable and his son who were arrested a fortnight ago over massive corruption worth over a billion rupees.
Muhammed Yousuf and his father Arif Yousuf had pointed out that Shaikh was also involved in corruption with them.

Shaikh
is reported to have amassed wealth worth over a billion rupees including property, agricultural lands, vehicles, and prize bonds, as well as treasury bills which were to be passed in the upcoming days.
NAB also recovered three kilograms of gold ornaments, Saudi riyals, prize bonds worth Rs.17 million, nine vehicles and documents of several bungalows in upscale locations in Karachi and Hyderabad, and a farm house.
NAB has received a fourteen day remand for further investigation, and to uncover further people involved in the massive corruption.
