LAHORE: Sons of PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif – Hamza Shehbaz and Salman Shehbaz – have been summoned by the Lahore division of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on November 2, ARY News reported.
The brothers duo has been asked to present, before NAB officials, in connection to a case of assets beyond means.
Both the accused had previously appeared before the anti-graft watchdog to be interrogated for accumulating assets allegedly beyond known sources of income.
Punjab assembly opposition leader Hamza Shehbaz is alleged in another case pertaining to financial irregularities in the Saaf Pani Company. He also had recorded his statement with the Bureau on the charges against him.
On the other hand, NAB team has seized the assets of Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law Imran Ali.
According to NAB, properties worth million of rupees were owned by Imran Ali which includes a house and offices in Ali Tower and Ali Apartment. In addition to this, there are also the charges of taking million of rupees as bribery on the accused who has fled abroad after the issuance of arrest warrants.
It is pertinent to mention that Shehbaz Sharif, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, is under the custody of bureau for his alleged involvement in Rs 14 billion Ashiyana-i-Iqbal housing project scam.
