QUETTA: Caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk on Sunday arrived in Quetta to preside over a high-level meeting to review security situation in the province.
The premier landed at Quetta airport where Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Alaudin Marri received him.
He visited the family of Shaheed Nawabzada Mir Siraj Raisani to offer condolences over his death in a suicide bomb attack in Mastung. Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and the chief minister accompanied him during the visit.
PM Mulk’s visit comes two days after a deadly blast that ripped through a public meeting in Quetta’s Mastung area in which around 130 people were killed, including Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) candidate Nawabzada Mir Siraj Raisani.
The country is observing a day of national mourning today to express solidarity with the victim families of the recent terror attacks in Peshawar, Bannu and Mastung.
The interim premier had announced one day official mourning to mourn the deaths of over 130 people killed in the blasts targeting election-related activities in KP and Balochistan.
The Balochistan Government has also announced to observe three-day mourning in the province in the wake of tragic Mastung incident.
