NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan was fighting the decisive war of its history, ARY News reported Thursday.
Operation Zarb-e-Azb is linked with national unity, said the PM during a high-level meeting held to discuss key issues including ongoing military operation in North Waziristan.
The PM was of the view that terrorists would be defeated in the war. He stressed the need to maintain peaceful environment and political stability in other parts of the country to keep morale of forces fighting against militants in tribal areas.
The prime minister assured to protect internally displaced persons of North Waziristan in the wake of military operation. He added that Khyber Pakhtonkhwa government would be fully financially assisted to provide necessary facilities to the affectees of NWA.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif also gave briefing on Model Town incident. He assured that real culprits would be brought to book and swift justice would be provided to the victims of the incident.
