‘Naya Pakistan’ not possible without ‘Naya Karachi’, says Imran

PTI Chairman Imran Khan, addressing a public meeting in Lyari’s Kakri Ground, said that the people in the city were divided on the basis of ethnicity. He added that enmity was spread amongst the masses due to which human lives were lost.

“They tried to intimidate me by saying that there is danger to my life here but I have come here to make a new Pakistan and a new Lyari”, Khan said.

“The discriminatory attitude in the city has to end”, he added.

He added that Pakistan People’ Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) became united after the Rangers launched targeted operations in the metropolis.

The PTI chairman added that the issues of the country will be resolved if the administration is made independent.

“I only believed in merit. Pakistan would not have won the 1992 World Cup if I would have included my friends and relatives in the winning squad”, he added.

He requested the children to make their parents vote for PTI on 5th December.

“I plan to celebrate the party’s win with the people of Karachi on December 6th.

After addressing the crowd at Lyari, Imran Khan went to Five Star Chowrangi at North Nazimabad to meet his party supports. He also addressed a crowd there as well.

The PTI chairman, after addressing the crowd, went to Abul Hassan Isphani Road where his supporters were waiting for him there.

He went to the house of deceased Pakistan Air Force (PAF) pilot Marium Mukhtiar where he met the family and offered his condolence. He left for Islamabad after meeting the family.

Imran Khan, speaking to media at Karachi Airport, said that the people of Karachi gave a warm welcome to him and his party. He added that Karachiites will decide about their future on 5th December. PTI activists lodge protest against their own party:

On the other hand, PTI Chairman Imran Khan was scheduled to address the crowd at Dawood Intersection at Korangi area but could not do so due to shortage of time. The supporters expressed their anger and disappointment when they could not meet the leader.They also chanted slogans against their own leaders. “We were waiting for him since morning but the address was called off at the last minute”, they said. However, Khan insisted that he would make it to the Lyari despite any opposition or warnings. He will address his workers and supporters who had set up a big stage for the party chairman to speak to the public. Khan was given warm welcome on his arrival to Lyari. Earlier addressing a gathering organized by Insaf Students Federation, the PTI chief said accountability could not be ensured in the country until criminals were held. He hit out at rulers, saying they should be questioned for not conducting the local government elections in the country He called upon youngsters to speak up against rigging in the polls. Khan alleged that over 50,000 votes were found bogus in the NA-122. The same Election Commission is holding election once again, he criticized.

He insisted people to question rulers their purpose to enter the politics.
