The cryptic post of Bollywood veteran Neetu Kapoor has invited backlash from netizens who believed it was directed towards Katrina Kaif – the ex-girlfriend of his son Ranbir Kapoor.
On Sunday, the ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ actor shared a quote on her Instagram stories, which read: “Just because he dated you for 7 years, it doesn’t mean he will marry you. My uncle studied medicine for 6 years, now he is a DJ.”

Deemed to be a simple caution towards people in serious relationships, the post grabbed a lot of attention on social media, with many believing, it was an attempt to diss the ‘Sooryavanshi’ actor who happened to have dated Kapoor’s son and actor Ranbir for years. “Neetu Kapoor has always had something against Katrina Kaif. Years after their breakup, she is still taunting her. They were together for 7 years,” a social user wrote about the post, calling the veteran a ‘salty woman’.
Another noted, “She definitely wouldn’t have liked the same thing to happen to herself. Double standards.”
Someone even brought up her upbringing in the discussion and penned, “Maybe these are the values she raised her kids with,” along with the hashtag ‘Shame on Neetu Kapoor’.
