Nine Pakistanis stranded in China arrive

Islamabad: Nine of the 45 Pakistani citizens stranded in China have arrived here, ARY News reported.

They were stranded due to inclement weather conditions and landslides in Xinjiang province of China. According to reports, they arrived at Benazir Bhutto International airport from the city of Urumqi. They were received by their families.

The Foreign Office said that efforts were made to bring all stranded citizens back today, but it was only possible to bring nine of them due to weather conditions.

At least 36 Pakistanis are still stranded in Xinjiang since the last two weeks which visited to tourist purposes.
