Nisar says PTI, PAT should not object on arrests of miscreants

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) should not object on the arrests of miscreants, as both the parties had said that the mobsters who broke into the PTV office were not their workers.

He said that every single man arrested was identified through the footage and pictures and assured that no innocent will be harmed during course.

The Interior Minister also invited both the parties to join in the investigations and have a look of the arrested suspects, if they do not believe in the government.

He added that the police has also identified the miscreants who tried to barge into the Parliament House by cutting the wires and damaged the gate, adding that the ones who had inhumanly tortured the SSP Operations and damaged the police vehicles, have also been recognized.

Nisar said that we had information

that some people among the participants are also armed with weapons and the information was relayed by the intelligence agencies (IAs). He added that the police also recovered 12-gauge Repeaters, gas masks, wireless sets, specially designed catapults and hundreds of marble balls, from the arrested people.

The Interior Minister said that the participants of the sit-ins have taken illegal connections from four major power transferring points, in order to light their venues, while they also dug-up the main water supply line to the red zone.

He said that the PTI workers brutally tortured a Special Branch man last night, who was on the security duty of the sit-in as there were intelligence reports of the presence of terrorists at the sit-ins.

Chaudhry Nisar said that the security man is lying under serious condition at the PIMS Hospital.

Moreover, he also showed the images of the miscreants to the journalists in support of his claims.
