The Assembly Secretariat issues gate passes to legislators, visitors and other relevant persons to enter the assembly, however the procedure for issuance of such passes has become stricter following the sting operation.

I was waiting to see whether Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah’s vehicle also gets stopped at the assembly gate, but it didn’t happen, said the opposition leader.

Speaking to media, Izhar said other journalists should not be punished for Iqrar’s sting operation. Senior PPP leader Nisar Khuhro has demanded separate gate entry for lawmakers in the assembly.

ARY News anchorperson Iqrarul Hasan launched a sting operation at Sindh Assembly, exposing poor security at the House. The move provoked strong government reaction resulting in arrest of the anchor, but he released on bail later.
