North Waziristan IDPs going back homes from today

Around 1,300 families of different villages of Sapanwam in North Waziristan Agency will move back today.

According to earlier statements of Fata Secretariat officials repatriation of North Waziristan’s IDPs will be completed in four phases. In the first phase, IDPs from Mir Ali’s 29 villages will be rehabilitated and each family will receive Rs25,000 through ATM cards and an additional 10,000 for transportation.

According to official sources, more than 91,000 families were displaced as Zarb-e-Azb military offensive against militants launched in North Waziristan region last year.
