KARACHI: President of Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat Pakistan Allama Shah Turab-ul-Haq Qadri passed away on Thursday while battling a protracted illness.
The prominent religious scholar was battling chronic illness for past two years and regularly undergoing dialysis procedure.
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, while talking to ARY News said that Qadri used to actively participate in his party’s religious and political activities despite being advised by the doctor to take rest.
He passed away while being under treatment at a private hospital of Karachi. The funeral prayers of Shah Turab-ul-Haq Qadri will be offered at Dar-ul-Uloom Amjadiya after Friday prayers.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed his condolences on the sad demise of renowned religious scholar Allama Shah Turab Ul Haq Qadri, and prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul with eternal peace and grant courage to bereaved family to bear this great loss.
He also appreciated the contributions of late Allama Shah Turab Ul Haq Qadri as a political figure, playing a positive role for the growth of democratic norms in the country which would be remembered with respect and appreciation.
