Former England wicket-keeper batsman Alec Stewart, who celebrated his birthday on April 8, also picked his All-Time XI.
In a video (above) posted by Lord’s cricket ground, Stewart picked the 11-member team he thinks will be the best if it ever takes field and chose British legend Graham Gooch and West indies’ Desmond Haynes.
Stewart’s middle order comprises of cricketing greats New Zealand’s Martin Crowe, West Indies’ Brian Lara, India’s Sachin Tendulkar and former Australian skipper Steve Waugh.
For the job behind wickets, Stewart picks Adam Gilchrist terming him the “best wicket-keeper batsman the game has ever seen”.
Stewart picks Pakistan’s Wasim Akram as his first bowler terming him a “destructive bowler” and a “handy batsman”.
At number 9, Stewart has West Indies’ great Malcolm Marshall while at number 10 he picks master spinner Shane Warne as his main spin bowler and captain of the team.
Stewart’s 11th player is former West Indian quick Curtly Ambrose.
