Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad: Crackdown against miscreants continues

RAWALPINDI: Crackdown against miscreants, terrorists’ facilitators, and anti-state elements under operation Radd-ul-Fasaad continued on Sunday night, ARY News reported.

Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) conducted separate raids in different parts of the country.

In an exchange of fire with police, one gangster, hailing from Baba Ladla group, killed in Lyari area of Karachi while his four other accomplices fled from the spot leaving their weapons behind.

In another incident, police arrested a suspect in an injured condition allegedly after exchange of fire in Kandhkot town in upper Sindh.

Meanwhile, intelligence agencies and police, in joint operation, arrested 19 suspects from Dariya Khan and Mankera areas of Punjab. During house to house search operation, LEAs also verified identification of 40 people through biometric device.

Moreover, four drug-peddlers were arrested in a raid by police in Liaquatpur.

Furthermore, Police in Tiba Sultanpur, arrested a drug-peddler and recovered narcotics and weapon from his possession.

Separately, Balochistan Levies arrested an offender in Chagai, who was wanted in kidnapping for ransom case.

While in Dasht area of Turbat district, LEAs foiled a major terror attack by defusing landmine bomb.

According to Pakistan Army’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists, in bid to target census staff, had planted a landmine along roadside.

In another incident, police in Hangu arrested 26 people including four proclaimed offenders under Radd-ul-Fasaad operation.

Separately, Police and Rangers in collaboration with intelligence agencies arrested four suspects, weapons from their possessions also seized.

Moreover, police in Karachi arrested a burglar’s gang comprising of four members including a woman, allegedly involved in various robbery crimes from Shahra-e-Noor Jahan.
