Talking to newsmen after the meeting of opposition parties here, Qamar Zaman Kaira said the opposition wants accountability to be across the board with regard to Panama Papers claims.
“Investigations should be held against all those named in the Panama documents,” he said, urging the government to constitute a judicial commission soon. “The process, however, should be initiated with the prime minister and his family.”
He maintained that legislation for the judicial commission should be made after consultation with the opposition.
The PPP member said that the government TORs of the judicial commission are not accepted in their present state.
He said that opposition parties today presented their TORs on which a committee has been formed to review the suggestions in detail.
Kaira said the committee will meet again tomorrow to finalize the TORs.
