Pak-Army teams take on relief works in Peshawar

DG ISPR, Major General Asim Salim Bajwa, in his message on micro blogging site Twitter, said that an emergency has been imposed at Combine Military Hospital (CMH) Peshawar, wherein Pak-Army doctors and paramedics are available to treat the injured.

He said that the Pak-Army teams will assist the local administration in relief activities.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson with the Bahria Town told that the Bahria Town administration has dispatched relief teams for affected masses.

The teams included a mobile hospital, doctors and paramedics, he added.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the acting President Raza Rabbani have expressed immense grief over the loss of lives due to a windstorm followed by heavy rains in Peshawar and adjacent areas.

The premier advised provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for taking immediate measures to console the affectees.
