Pak-India DGMOs meet suggested on December 24

RAWALPINDI: Director General Military Operations (DGMO), Major General Amir Riaz has formally invited his Indian counterpart to hold a meeting and suggested a date of December 24 in this regard – ARY News reports.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Spokesperson while confirming the information, told that the DGMO Maj. Gen. Amir Riaz has proposed a date of December 14 for the meeting with his Indian counterpart.

Sources told that during the meet, Pak-India border issues including the violations of the ceasefire agreement at the Line of Control (LoC) in the recent past will be discussed by the DGMOs of both the states.

The DGMOs meeting will be held under the light of the decisions made at the meeting between the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Indian PM Manmohan Singh in New York, earlier this year.

The DGMOs of both the states have also been meeting in the past at the Wagah border to discuss the border issues.
