Pak-India talks not dependant on Pathankot attack: Indian HC

Bambawale said that he could not give a specific date for upcoming talks but the Indian officials are in touch with their Pakistani counterparts.

Seven Indian security personnel were killed when terrorists attacked the Pathankot airbase. Authorities from across the border had swiftly blamed Jaish-e-Muhammad for carrying out the attack.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif had agreed to cooperate with India on the attack’s investigation. The Pakistani investigation team stated that no evidence could be found against JeM.

It should be noted that Pakistan and India agreed to resume the dialogue process following Nawaz-Modi meeting in France.

The dialogue process between the two South Asian countries has remained on and off due to the ongoing tensions along the border.
