Pak-India World T20 clash to be held as per schedule: BCCI official

It should be noted that the fate of the much anticipated World T20 clash, scheduled to take place on 19th March, is uncertain after the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Virbadra Singh refused to host the Pakistani side for the tournament and asked BCCI to cancel the game or shift it to another venue.

BCCI Secretary Thakur met the Himachal Pradesh CM to discuss the matter. The Indian cricket board’s official said that the meeting was positive.

“There is no Plan B. The match will take place in Dharamshala. Hope there are no hurdles in it”, Thakur said.

Senior BCCI official Rajiv Shukla also said that the match will be contested in the decided venue and assured full security to the Pakistani team.

“Pakistani players are completely safe in India”, Shukla said.
