Pakistan Army kills five Indian soldiers after school van attack along LoC

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army on Thursday killed five Indian soldiers across the Line of Control (LoC) in a retaliatory attack hours after Indian soldiers killed a civilian by targeting a school van in Battal sector, ARY News reported.

According to Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor, Pakistan Army destroyed an Indian post along LoC in Tatta Pani (Hot Spring) sector which was “targeting innocent citizens” on Pakistani side.

The attack resulted in killing of five Indian soldiers and injuring a number of others. “Indian terrorism against innocent citizens shall be responded befittingly,” tweeted DG ISPR.

Earlier in the day, Indian forces targeted a van carrying school children in Battal sector killing the van driver. DG ISPR not only condemned the attack in strong words but also reiterated that such attacks are a violation of the Geneva Convention and a clear violation of the 2003 ceasefire agreement between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
