RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army on Wednesday handed over homes and shops of a model village in amongst families who got displaced in 2013 earthquake in Mashkai tehsil of Balochistan province’s Awaran district.
According to a statement released by Inter Services Public Relations, the model Village has all the basic amenities including school, market, water supply system and solar-based electricity.
“This mega project has been built on self-help basis by Pakistan Army in short span of six months. Locals showed complete satisfaction over efforts of Army for peace and stability and socio- economic development in the area,” the ISPR statement added.
Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa handed over the keys to the allottees.
A video released by ISPR shows all the basic facilities in the village.
