LONDON: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday said that Pakistan gave high values to its relations with the United Kingdom and desired to further strengthen the bilateral economic and trade ties with Britain.
Talking to the British Secretary of State for International Development Rory Stewart in London, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the current government was pursuing the agenda of socio-economic development.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government would introduce comprehensive reforms in infrastructure development.
The foreign minister said, “British Department for International Development has rendered great services in the field of education and health in Pakistan, and we desire further expansion in this cooperation.”
The British secretary of state for international development assured his country’s cooperation in the matters of mutual interest.

Earlier on June 17, Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi had met with his English Home Minister to discuss matters of mutual interest.
Qureshi who was on an official trip to London is also scheduled to hold important meetings with English parliamentarians and the Foreign Minister.
Both ministers had discussed matters pertaining to security and illegal immigration in great detail.
