DUBAI: It’s a historic day for Pakistan cricket as the country will be hosting its first day-night test match when they take on West Indies in the first game of the three-match series on Thursday, ARY News reported.
It will also be Pakistan’s 400 test match. However, both teams have never played a day-night test match before.
Skippers of the two teams Misbah-ul-Haq and Jason Holders have seen the day-night test as the future.
Pakistan will be looking forward to continue its dominance over the current Twenty20 champions. The team will be looking to win the test series after whitewashing the Caribbean side in the T20s and one dayers.
The green shirts have brought in Babar Azam, who impressed the selectors with his three consecutive tons in the one day series. Spinner Mohammad Nawaz is also likely to make his debut with the pink ball.
Mohammad Amir is doubtful for the team after he flew back home to attend to his ailing mother.
