‘Pakistan ideal investment destination’, says South Korean envoy

SEOUL: An interactive session and investment conference was held in South Korean capital, Seoul to attract investors to Pakistan by highlighting the potential of foreign investment in the country. 

The conference titled, Emerging Pakistan: Opportunities for Bilateral Investment and Trade, attracted more than 140 representatives from renowned Korean companies and conglomerates.

A special delegation from Pakistan comprising Secretary Board of Investment, Dr. Sumera Nazir Siddiqui, Secretary Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, senior representatives from Boards of Investment and Trade of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab accompanied by senior business delegates also attended the event.

Addressing the event, Ambassador of Pakistan, Rahim Hayat Qureshi said strong economic and business relationship is a prerequisite for stable, long term and sustainable people to people relations.

In his remarks, Ambassador of Korea to Pakistan Sung-Kyu Kwak highlighted the improved security situation and business friendly policies of Pakistan making it an ideal investment destination for the Korean companies.
