Pakistan is in a state of war, says Hafiz Saeed

PESHAWAR: A Jirga has been formed against the drone attacks by Difa-e-Pakistan Council here on Sunday, ARY News reports.

Addressing the Jirga, Ameer of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JUD) Hafiz Saeed has said that conspiracies are being made to promote sectarian violence in the country. He stated that the War on Terror was brought into the country.

"The country is in a state of war", he said.

Liaquat Baloch, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), in his address said that the United States does not include Pakistan's security in their list of preferences.

Maulana Sami-ul-Haq also said that the country can be peaceful if it withdraws itself from the War on Terror.

On the occasion, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Hameed Gul said that the US wants to take over Pakistan after being defeated in Afghanistan.

Other officials of the council also made addressed the Jirga. The lauded the services of Tribal elders and people for protecting the country.
