Pakistan, Jordan to share expertise in counter-terrorism operations: COAS

General Raheel Sharif, who is on an official visit to Jordan,  made these remarks while witnessing field  exercise of  Jordanian Special Operations Forces at King  Abdullah Special Operations training center.

Yesterday, Gen Sharif was conferred with most prestigious Jordanian Medal of Merit in recognition of the remarkable courage for leading the Pakistan Army in coping with multiple threats facing Pakistan.

The COAS is on a two-day

official visit to Jordan, where he was given an unprecedented reception upon arrival. He was received by Gen Mashal Al-Zaben, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces and Chief of Royal Jordanian Air Force,  Major General Mansour AlJobour.

The army chief later met Prince Al-Hassan bin Talal and top military commanders of Jordan.

The meetings were centered around regional security, military-to-military relations, mutual interest affairs including enhanced defence collaboration and military training exchanges.
