Pakistan Rangers, BSF exchange sweets at border on Holi

The soldiers also exchanged pleasantries while sharing sweets at the border.

Last year, the traditional exchange of sweets between the troops of India and Pakistan along the Wagah border on August 14-15 has been called off owing to tension at the border.

The Pakistani Rangers had refused to accept the sweets offered by the BSF on the occasion of Eid in protest against repeated violations of ceasfire agreement by the Indian forces on border.

Border guarding forces of the two countries have been following a tradition of exchanging sweets on festivals at the International Border in Jammu and along the Attari-Wagah border in Amritsar in Punjab.
