Pakistani expats most valuable assets of country: Zulfikar Bukhari

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Zulfikar Bukhari on Monday said Pakistani expats were the most valuable assets of our country.

During his visit to Omron Labour Camp in Dubai, he said we are running a campaign to create awareness about sending money through legal channels and the benefits that Pakistan could reap through such process.

On the occasion, Zulfikar Bukhari went inside the labour camp and personally asked individuals about the facilities that were being provided and the problems that they had been facing.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary in a statement last month said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was creating an enabling environment for the expatriate Pakistanis to make investment in the country.

“We are giving special importance to the overseas Pakistanis in our policies,” he said while addressing the Pakistani community in London.

Addressing the Pakistani community in Kaula Lumpur in November, Prime Minister Imran Khan said remittances sent home by overseas Pakistani helped run the country.

The prime minister urged the Pakistani community in Malaysia to send remittances through legal channel in order to help boost the country’s finances.
