Pakistani-origin high achievers honoured in UK

In a prestigious ceremony held at the historic House of Lords within Westminster Palace, Brain Trust UK organised the annual Avicenna Medal ceremony for high achievers from the UK and abroad.

The medal was presented by His Highness Prince Philipp of Liechtenstein, with Princess Isabel also in attendance.

Among the recipients were Pakistani origin high achievers who received the prestigious Avicenna Medal for their contributions and achievements.

The recipients included: Ahmed Junaid, global network and security consulting expert with double CCIE and CCDE certifications, Nasir Younas, award-winning serial entrepreneur Zain Abbas, award-winning entrepreneur and educator, founder of the Minibees Group, Sohail Sarwar, award-winning digital business management consultant and founder & CEO of Kaprix Consulting and Awais Malik, regenerative dentist and founder & Chief Executive Officer of The Pakistani Foundation and QCS.

The Avicenna Medal, named after the renowned Persian polymath who is considered the father of early modern medicine, is bestowed upon individuals whose extraordinary accomplishments have significantly advanced humanity and their respective fields.

Prince Philipp is a prominent member of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, one of Europe’s oldest noble families dating back to 1136. As the son of the late Prince Franz Joseph II and the younger brother of the current reigning Prince Hans-Adam II, he has been instrumental in promoting excellence and innovation across various fields. After studying history and sociology at the Universities of Bonn and Basel, Prince Philipp embarked on a successful career in finance.

At just over 30, Ahmed Junaid stands among a select few Pakistani-origin professionals at the forefront of global network and security consulting.

His career is marked by the rare achievement of double CCIE and CCDE certifications, held by fewer than 500 experts worldwide, showcasing his deep expertise in designing and securing complex network infrastructures. Ahmed has worked with high-profile clients, including Fortune 500 companies like Tesco International, Shell Global, and ABB.

Nasir Younas in an

award-winning serial entrepreneur, a portfolio landlord and founder & CEO of the famous chain Haweli restaurants. Starting with long hours in a London Chinese restaurant some 20 years back, he built a career fuelled by resilience and a relentless drive. His expertise spans startups, strategic management, and operational efficiency, with a particular passion for the hospitality and real estate sectors. He thrives in dynamic environments, leveraging his hands-on experience to drive innovation and success.

Zain Abbas is an award-winning entrepreneur and educator, celebrated for his transformative leadership in the childcare sector over the past decade as a founder of the Minibees Group. A graduate of Anglia Ruskin University and Oxford Brookes University, Zain is recognised for his innovative approaches and commitment to excellence.

His academic prowess is complemented by a fellowship with the Royal Society of Arts. In 2017, Zain was honoured with the prestigious Brian Tracy Award of Excellence, recognizing his outstanding entrepreneurial achievements. Further cementing his reputation, he was named ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ by Global Man Magazine. Beyond his business ventures, Zain is deeply committed to humanitarian efforts.

Sohail Sarwar is an award-winning digital business management consultant founder and CEO of Kaprix Consulting.  Transitioning from chartered accountant to technologist, he has served major microfinance institutions and Fortune 500 companies globally. Sohail’s journey is marked by a passion for education and empowerment, having lectured at leading business schools and trained thousands of professionals for the digital freelance economy.

Awais Malik is one of the first regenerative dentist of Pakistani origin and a graduate of King’s College London. He is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Pakistani Foundation and QCS with extensive expertise in education management industry & automotive industry
