Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves reach US$20,054.2 mn, says SBP

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:

i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$  15,202.0  million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by banks                                  : US$    4,852.2  million

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves                                               : US$  20,054.2  million

During the week ending on October 2, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves increased by US$1,794 million to US$15,202 million, compared to US$13,408 million in the previous week.

During the week, SBP received US$505 million from IMF under EFF, US$500 million as proceeds of Pakistan International Bonds, US$376 million under Coalition Support Fund (CSF) and US$263 million as syndicate financing for Government of Pakistan.
