Panic in Karachi after three grenade attacks in two hours

According to police, miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at Mubina Town Police Station near Abul Isphani Road and fled. A guard identified as Asif Ali Laghari sustained a minor injury. While a police car stationed within the premises was also damaged.

However, no loss of life was reported.

In another incident, unidentified bike riders threw a grenade inside women’s Apwa College near Karimabad. The grenade struck a college wall, hence not causing any casualty.  Similarly, another grenade attack near a school in North Nazimabad left a child injured.

Police said they were investigating and collecting evidences to catch the attackers.

Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial has taken notice of the three attacks and sought report from officials concerned.

He directed police high-ups to enhance patrolling in the city to ensure peaceful environment. He also directed that fool-proof security be ensured at mosques during Friday prayers.
