PDMA releases report on damages caused by rains

PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has released the report on damages caused by the recent rains, ARY News reported on Saturday.

According to the PDMA report, four people died in different districts after several houses collapsed, which includes two kids, one man and one woman. 

PDMA report stated that 17 people were also injured as a result of recent rains. The PDMA said that a total of 6 houses were damaged where one house was completely damaged while five houses were partially damaged.

Earlier, the PDMA reported that nine persons including a minor girl were killed and 44 others sustained injuries after a powerful earthquake jolted parts of KP.

The northwest part of Pakistan was hit by a magnitude 6.8 earthquake.

The secretary of relief had said the injured were given timely first aid by the Rescue 1122 teams and were moved to the hospital. 19 houses have been partially damaged due to the earthquake, he added.
