ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to chalk out an urgent action plan in view of uninterrupted gas supply to consumers during the upcoming winter season, ARY News reported on Thursday.

The prime minister issued the instructions while chairing an emergency meeting to address the challenge regarding provision of gas to domestic and commercial consumers.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on the expected demand and supply of gas in the winter season. The meeting was apprised of the plan prepared for the supply of gas in the coming months.

The Prime Minister directed the officials concerned to further improve the plan and gave the directions to give priority to short and middle term plans.

The meeting was attended by former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik, Adviser Ahad Cheema and other high ranking officials.
