ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday has urged India to positively respond to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s invitation for dialogue.

“It is the youth of the subcontinent who will pay in blood and coin for generations to come for the shortsighted decisions of a few today,” Bilawal said in his tweet.

“Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s call for dialogue must be reciprocated, time to deescalate before it’s too late,” he added.

Prime Minister Imran Khan during his address to the nation, yesterday, invited India for dialogue and repeated Pakistan’s wish for lasting peace in the region.

The PM  took nation into confidence over Pakistan Air Force (PAF)’s operation of striking down two Indian fighter jets.

The premier again invited India for dialogue by saying that Pakistan also feels the pain of February 14 Pulwama attack victims but peace remains the only way to heal their wounds.

The soaring tensions reached a new height between the two neighbouring countries as two fighter jets of Indian Air Force were shot down by Pakistan Air Force in bright day light on Wednesday.

Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor said the military action from Pakistan was a demonstration of its defense capability as a reaction towards violation of Line of Control by Indian fighter jets on Feb 26.
