ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said we [PDM] parties put politics at stake for the sake of the state’s survival, ARY News reported.
Addressing the floor of the National Assembly, PM Shehbaz Sharif said the opposition parties decided to move a no-confidence motion against the then-prime minister Imran Khan to steer the country out of the ‘difficult’ situation.
“Political parties put their politics at stake for Pakistan.” The premier said the powers of the institutions are well defined in the constitution, but sadly, today, the constitution is being ‘mocked.’
“A ‘Ladla‘ is not appearing before any court and getting bails in the darkness of nights.” PM Shehbaz Sharif asked if anyone took notice when threatening language was used against a female judge.
This is the same ‘blue-eyed’, who attacked the Parliament and whose supporters hanged dirty clothes at the walls of the Supreme Court, PM Shehbaz Sharif said.
Imran violated IMF agreement
The premier held Imran Khan responsible for taking Pakistan on the verge of default. “Imran Khan violated IMF agreement.”

Pakistan’s debt surged by 70per cent during the tenure of Imran Khan government, he said and added not a single project was initiated.
Ties with friendly countries
The premier observed that differences in the society are increasing and one segment of society thinks that Imran Khan’s government was removed through ‘US intervention’, and the incumbent government is ‘imported.’
Now Imran has again taken a U-turn and said the conspiracy to topple his government was not implemented by the US but from inside Pakistan.
Friendly countries got annoyed with Pakistan during Imran Khan’s regime, claimed the premier and added that they are trying to repair ties with the friendly countries and the superpower US.
Imran hired firms for lobbying in US
PM Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has now hired firms for lobbying in the United States.
Imran Khan used to say they [opposition] members are ‘thieves’ and they should not meet with the foreign envoys but now he is meeting with the foreign ambassadors in opposition.
Lobbying firms are giving statements against Pakistan, which is not acceptable, the premier maintained.
No one is making him accountable for ‘denting’ Pakistan’s narrative. “Enough is enough.. now the law will take its course.”
Lasbela tragedy
The prime minister also criticised ‘social trollers’ of Imran Khan for politicizing the Lasbela tragedy in which a sitting Lieutenant General and other high-rank officers were martyred while carrying out relief and rescue operations in Lasbela.

What else enemies of Pakistan need? what else India needs?, the premier said. He said today, Niazi is making ‘terrorists’ his shelter. “We have videos of the presence of ‘terrorists’ at Imran Khan’s residence.”
COAS appointment
Commenting on the appointment of Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, PM Sharif said the decision to make General Asim Munir COAS and General Sahir as CJCSC on November 29 was taken with consensus.
The decision was taken after consultation with the cabinet members. Rejecting the rumors, he said the appointment of COAS was made on 100pc merit.
Judge’s alleged audio leak
PM Shehbaz Sharif said an alleged audio of citing a Supreme Court judge has surfaced. Only God knows if it is authentic or fake.
The premier requested the CJP Justice Umar Ata Bandial for forensic of the alleged audio leak .
He claimed that judges hearing cases of opposition members were being ‘changed’ on Whatsapp messages.
Imran ‘re-settled’ terrorists in KP
The premier alleged that Imran Khan re-settled terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2021. Imran Niazi gave an ‘offer’ to the terrorists.
Terrorists were ‘re-settled’ in Swat and other parts of KP, after which the nation witnessed a surge in terror incidents, he added.
The matter should be investigated that how they were sponsored and brought back to KP.
