“We will soon rehabilitate the flood affected people and build their houses. Besides, measures are underway to prevent further damages in the wake of floods” he said while addressing the flood victims in Narowal on Eid day.
He said compensation of Rs 25,000 to each flood-hit family had been paid. Remaining victims will soon be paid the compensation amount, he added.
Hinting at the protesters in Islamabad. he said those trying to impede progress of economy would be defeated. He vowed that the government would perform its duties and responsibilities with sheer dedication.
The electricity crisis will soon end, reiterated the PM. However, he did not give any time frame.
He praised Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for his endeavours to help flood-hit people. The PM said he was proud to celebrate Eid with the flood victims.
He said the brave soldiers who were fighting in North Waziristan were also in our prayers and thoughts on the occasion of Eid.
