PML-N offered Senate ticket in exchange of criticising army: Ayesha Gulalai

ISLAMABAD: Disgruntled Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) MNA Ayesha Gulalai said that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) had asked her to badmouth the army in return for a Senate ticket, ARY News reported on Friday.

Speaking to media outside the parliament, Ayesha Gulalai said that the PML-N leader and former PM Nawaz Sharif is a dishonest person and accused him of offering her and her father a Senate ticket in return for criticising state institutions including the army.

“His (Nawaz Sharif) statements against the army and judiciary are shameful. I think he is more dangerous than Imran Khan for Imran Khan is an emotional man who has this habit of shooting himself in the foot but Nawaz is attacking institutions like army and judiciary,” said Gulalai.

She claimed that Nawaz Sharif, in his war against state institutions, also offered her and her father Senate tickets in return for criticising the army and accusing the institution of political conspiracies.

Gulalai, who in August last year accused PTI chief Imran Khan and other PTI men of sending lewd and suggestive messages to her and other party women, however, did not clearly mention as to which particular leader from PML-N approached her with the offer.
