PML-N to sweep Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018 elections: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says the world is now acknowledging Pakistan as a fast developing country and vowed to fulfill his pledges to address electricity crisis and other problems facing the country by 2018.

Addressing his party’s council meeting in Islamabad, he pointed to his detractors without naming anyone, saying “you have wasted the entire time in perching on containers and dancing.”

“The way they are working, they will lose Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well. PML-N will emerge victorious in the KP in 2018 elections,” said the prime minister in indirect reference to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government in the province.

In KP, he said, government is being run by someone else and development is being carried out by the PML-N.

PM Sharif says people of KP were looking for those who had pledged to make ‘Naya Pakistan‘.

He reiterated that electricity load-shedding would eliminate from the country by 2018. He thanked China for investing in power plants in Pakistan that will help easing the load-shedding menace.

He claimed that PML-N led government reduced loadshedding tariff to Rs 10 per unit from previous Rs 18. He promised that bring down the existing tariff to Rs 7 in his next tenure.

The PM recalled that the country was heading towards extreme crisis in 2013 and said his “government saved the country and controlled the serious crisis”.

He said motorway network was being expanded to other cities.
