Pokemon Go is getting a new batch of monsters to collect this Halloween, developer of the location-based augmented reality app Niantic has confirmed.
As part of its in-game event, which kicks off on October 20 till November 20, Pokemon Go will introduce a handful of new creatures, including Sableye, Banette, and a few others described as ‘ghost-type Pokemon.’
These new Pokeman will be making their first-ever appearance in Pokemon Go, while others such as Gastly, Drowzee, Cubone, and other spooky Pokemon are back again this Halloween.
Niantic also announced thee rest of the Pokemon first seen in the Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire video games will gradually arrive starting as early as December.
There will also be a special Pikachu celebrating Halloween in an all-new costume. Players can also dress their avatar for the occasion by wearing Mimikyu-themed Disguise Hat.
Furthermore, players can also earn extra candy while they are out trick-or-treating with their Pokemon.
The candy rewards from catching, hatching, and transferring Pokémon will be doubled, and the Pokemon will find candy twice as fast during the Halloween celebration.
Players also have the opportunity to stock up for their upcoming adventures with special boxes from the in-game shop featuring items such as Raid Passes and Super Incubators.
While hunting Pokemon, players can also use your Pokémon Go AR camera to capture festive photos and share them on social media using #PokemonGOHalloween.
