PESHAWAR: Police on Wednesday arrested a suspect of Peshawar airport attack from Budh Ber area, ARY News reported.
The nabbed terrorist commander Ali Haider was affiliated with a Shahid group of militants. Police also claimed to have recovered a huge cache of weapons from the den of terrorists.
Police said Haider was wanted to law enforcers in connection to attack on Bacha Khan International Airport in which a woman passenger was killed. Militants had opened fire on a jet after it had touched down on June 24.
Meanwhile, police recovered explosives and weapons during a snap-checking in Budh Ber area. They said four criminals were aboard a vehicle hailing from Dara Adam Khel to Peshawar.
A bomb weighing five kilograms was also recovered from the possession of criminals. Police said the terrorists belonged to banned Lashkar-e-Islam.
