The FIR was registered by the Gojra Police against the driver on charges of sexually assaulting the girl around two months ago and taking her pictures for blackmailing.

The complaint was filed by the victim’s mother. She said her daughter studied at the Government Women Degree College, Gojra. The lady told police that she had hired a rickshaw to pick and drop her daughter.

On last day before the summer vacation kicked off, the rickshaw driver took her to a deserted place and subjected her to rape.

The suspect also took pictures of her and threatened the girl to stay mum or he would leak pictures on the social media. The victim eventually narrated the ordeal to her mother after summer vacation ended as she refused to go college in the rickshaw.

The suspect has fled the village and police are going after him.
