Three terrorists including al-Qaeda commander killed: Rao Anwar

Police had cordoned off the area and conducted the operation in Gulshan-e-Buner on a tipoff. The terrorists opened fire, to which police retaliated and killed three terrorists in exchange of firing.

Renown encounter specialist, Rao Anwar said police received tipoff that the terrorists had recced police stations and offices of law enforcement agencies and made a plan to attack police headquarters.

He said the killed terrorists were involved in target killing of police and law enforcement personnel. One of the terrorists, Riaz aka Raja, was identified as AQIS commander.

On the other hand, Rangers have arrested a target killer in Karachi belonging to military wing of a political party. A huge ammunition and forty packets of hashish were also recovered from his possession.
