Polling for Sindh mayor elections on June 29

In the last phase of the local councils elections in Sindh, polling for mayor, deputy mayor, chairman and vice-chairman offices will be held on June 29.

According to the schedule the candidates would have to submit their nomination papers on June 15 and 16 and scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held on June 17 and 18.

The appeals of the candidates will be addressed on 20 and 21st June. The candidates can withdraw their nominations on June 22 and the final list of the candidates will also be issued on the same day.

Polling for the elections will be held on June 29th while the results will be announced on June 30th.

The winning candidates will take oath of their office on July 04.

Earlier, the elections for the mayor, deputy mayor, chairman and vice-chairman which were scheduled to take place on 8th June were postponed on the court orders.
