The CPPA had requested the regulator to reduce power tariff by Rs 2.40 per unit in terms of fuel adjustment for the month of August, sources said, of which the Nepra officials will hold a hearing on Oct 8.
It further stated that the cost of power production in October remained to be Rs 33.78 billion.
Nepra sources said that all electricity consumers, other than those from Karachi, will get relief by this drop in tariff.
