Premier Imran Khan likely to visit Qatar in December

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to visit Qatar within the month of December, ARY News reported. 

According to details, the state visit of Qatar will be the fifth official tour of PM Khan after Saudi Arabia, China, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.

Sources privy to the matter said the prime minister will call on his Qatari counterpart and other high-level officials to beef up mutual cooperation in various spheres including LNG agreement.

The premier will also invite businessmen to invest in Pakistan. Further, the prospects of sending Pakistani workforce to Qatar may also come under consideration during the talks, sources added.

The federal ministers will accompany the premier on the trip.

Recently, on November 22, PM Imran Khan concluded the state visit of Malaysia with an upward trajectory in bilateral relations.

While addressing a joint news conference with his Malaysian counterpart in Kuala Lumpur, Prime Minister Imran Khan said Pakistan wants to learn from Malaysia’s experience of turning around economy, trade, and development in other sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Malaysia and Pakistan face similar challenges and it has been decided to cooperate with one another to cope with them.

Moreover, Prime Minister Imran Khan inked several cooperation agreements and memorandum of understandings during the official visit to China.
