PESHAWAR: Police on Tuesday arrested an assistant professor of a university in Peshawar for allegedly possessing drugs and recovered weapons from his vehicle, ARY News reported.
Bashir, a professor at Islamia College Peshawar, was told to pull over at the Regi Model Town check post. Police searched his vehicle and reportedly recovered 20 grams of ‘ice’ (crystal meth) and another 150g of hash.
Police said that Bashir tried to prevent himself from being arrested. They also recovered two pistols from his vehicle. Bashir was arrested after a First Information Report was launched against him. Police had cordoned the entire area to arrest him.
