According to Spokesman PSM Shazim Akhtar, two shipments of 20,000 MTN and 50,000 MTN of Iron Ore have been imported from Mauritania.
He said that two ships of 50,000 MTN each of Coking Coal from Australia were also cleared from September 8 to September 18 at Pakistan Steel Jetty.
And with the arrival of latest ships the total quantity of raw materials stock has increased to 1,60,000 MTN ‘Coal’ and 1,12,000 MTN of Iron Ore (Lump/Fine), he added.
Shazim Akhtar informed that with the continuous import of raw material, current Average Capacity Production Utilization (CAPU) of PSM has been increased by 25 per cent almost of the total capacity of 1.1 million tonnes per annum.
