PTI announces boycott of PML-N lawmaker following scuffle

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced a social boycott of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Mian Javed Latif, ARY News reported.

In a tweet, Imran Khan stated that no PTI representative will go on any TV show where PML-N’s Javed Latif is invited.

“In any civilised country he would be banned from all public forums,” Khan said.

He added, PTI members and leaders will not attend any public forum event where Javed Latif is invited.

It should be noted that PTI’s Murad Saeed indulged in a scuffle with PML-N lawmaker Javed Latif at the parliament lobby following their heated arguments earlier during the assembly proceedings on Thursday.

The confrontation began during the assembly session when PML-N’s Javed

Latif hit out at PTI chief Imran Khan for his remarks against the foreign players in PSL final. He also reportedly called Khan a traitor. Murad Saeed reacted strongly to the accusations, stirring up ruckus.

He went to say that Khan used inappropriate language for foreign cricketers who had arrived in Lahore to take part in the PSL final. “PTI members must infuse some sense in their leader,” said Latif in his address.

The remarks from the PML-N lawmaker stirred hornet’s nest among the PTI benches and they started protest. Murad Saeed expressed his resentment and said he should be allowed to speak after the deputy speaker asked him to take his seat and turned off his mic.
