ISLAMABAD: In an expected move, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has announced to hold a rally in Swabi on December 25, seeking public support, once again, on the infamous Panamagate scandal.
A Supreme Court bench led by the incoming chief justice, Justice Saqib Nisar will now take up the case in January 2017 after Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali term ends this year.

On Wednesday, Chairman PTI Imran Khan held a detailed meeting with senior lawyer Babar Awan, representing PTI in the Panamagate Case against the Sharif family and discussed party’s legal preparedness for the next hearing.
The two also discussed varying aspects of PTI’s new campaign to take the public into confidence on Panama Papers Leak, CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) and Quetta Commission Report.

During the meeting, Imran Khan reiterated that in a bid to make Pakistan a corruption-free state, it was important to end Panamagate case with a logical conclusion.
On a recently released Justice Qazi Isa’s commission report on the August 8 carnage in Quetta that levelled serious allegations against the interior ministry, Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has lost all the constitutional and moral rights to remain on his position with a burden of corruption scandals on his shoulders.
