PTI seeks record of NA-122 voter lists from ECP

In following of its tradition, PTI once again raised questions over the recently held by-election in NA-122.

PTI Punjab organizer Chaudhry Sarwar today wrote a letter to the chief election commissioner (CEC), demanding voter lists of NA-122, for the Election 2013 and 2015.

He warned of massive protest if the voter lists of two elections differed from each other, adding, “It will become difficult for the government to keep functioning”.

Shortly after PTI’s defeat in Lahore run, PTI chief Imran Khan had raised the issue of discrepancies in voter lists.

Following tweets by the party chief, PTI had decided to manoeuvre it against the ECP.

PTI nominee Aleem Khan requested for recount of votes, but the returning officer turned it down, directing him to consult the ECP.
